EVENT – Samhuinn Festival This Weekend (Beltane)

Samhuinn Festival, this weekend

The Beltane Fire Society is having a procession of the summer and winter courts this Saturday and sets off from the Castle Esplanade, Royal Mile, Edinburgh — at 9pm.

Samhuinn is a modern retelling of an ancient story – the battle between light and dark, summer and winter.

The Green Man is starting to decay as the seasons draw colder. His darkness is arising, and it will manifest itself as the Horned God, King of the Winter. The two kings, and their forces of magical creatures, will do battle with fire, ritual and drums for the hand of the all powerful Goddess.

Join us in our spectacular staging of this eternal story, where light battles dark, summer battles winter, and the future of the world is at stake.

This event is not ticketed, but we hope you will love it and give a donation to one of our bucketeers, to help us stage this magical event again.

The procession ends up at Calton Hill – should be an interesting night since it co-incides with Halloween !

NEWS – Usui Reiki Course

Usui Reiki Level One Course

Saturday 21st November 10am – 3.00pm

Saturday 28th November 10 am – 2.00pm

This course shall be taken in two parts and carries a Reiki One Level Certificate which allows participants to carry out Reiki on themselves, family and friends.

Usui Reiki is a very gentle, relaxing form of healing that helps bring balance on spiritual, mental and physically levels.

It is excellent at relieving stress and bringing calm, which in turn helps with many physical ailments.This method of healing was re discovered by Dr Usui at the turn of this century and has been a method of healing in Japan and worldwide since. It has really grown in popularity in the last few years as people are looking for ways to get back to holistic methods of healing and realize that simple things like Reiki work!

Cost £90.00/early bird before 7th November -£70.00.
